Subscriptions Available To Dance Guild’s Concert subscriptions to the Greater Charlotte Dance Guild’s se venth concert season are now available. In bringing dance to Char lotte audiences this year, the Guild has added a new twist. As in the past, Charlottes ns will have an opportunity to see some of the finest dance this nation has to offer. In addi tion, the Guild is including in its subscription series perfor mances by local dance com panies, thus making it po6si ble for dance enthusiasts tc view local work of profession al calibre. For the city ol Charlotte to boast of such good quality dance is a great ac complishment. x This year’s concert season will include four events: 1. In February, 1978, the Pau Taylor Company will perform at Ovens Auditorium. Mr Taylor’s choreography re Ask Rufus ASK RUFUS, the latest al bum by ABC recording artists Rufus featuring Chakh Khan, has been certified platinum by the RIAA. To commemorate the occa sion, ABC Records recently _ held a champagne reception for the group in the office of label President Steve Diener. fleets a zany and zestfully breathtaking kinetic sense that has won high praise from critics and international audi ences. 2. The Royal Ballet will perform on film Beatrix Pot ter’s “Peter Rabbit’’ on Mar ch 1§ - 18 at the Visulite Theatre. This is a colorful and r enchanting film for children of all ages. 3. On April 21, and 22 the New Reflections Dance Theatre will perform at Queens Col lege Dana Auditorium. This concert will premiere the "Claw of the Butterfly,” a work choreographed by Gerda Zimmerman, artistic director. 4 The Charlotte Regional Ballet will perform on May 12 at Ovens Auditorium. This concert will include portions of “Swan Lake,” one of the oldest and best loved romantic ballets. The low cost of a subscrip tion is only $15.00, a savings of $1.00 per performance.
