rtophet’s Column ^ “A Letter Of Warning” Little I My Dear Friends, ' Let me reason with you just a little, will you? 1 want to talk to you about the tragedy and folly of fighting the Lord and His people. Every soul who has ever fought the Lord and His people has always gone down. You cannot win fighting the Lord You are defeated to begin with. Go back to the earliest of time of man on the earth there in the life of the two brothers; Cain and Abel, as you know Cain killed his brother Abel (Gen. 4). Cain hated his bro ther Abel because God accep ted Abel’s offering but not his. Cain could not get to the Lord to kill Him, so he took his hatred out on the Lord’s child. That has been the history of every Christ rejector all down through the ages. In your hatred for the Lord, you go about trying to destroy all His children Everybody who comes in contact with the Lord's anoin te^ither sides in with them, or^ou go about trying to destroy them. You may not go out slandering them publicly as others may do, but deep in your bosom is a heart of murder for every child of God, because you hate God (Rom. 8:7). The only reason you may not go out to try to kill God’s servant is because of the restraint of God. The only reason you are not a public avowed atheist like Madeline O’Hara is because of the res traint of God. At heart you hate God just as she does, even though you are a profes sing church member. But go study the Word of God from Genesis to Revela tion and see that every soul who has ever fought the Lord and His anointed has always gone down! Take the case of Elijah, the old prophet of the mountains. King Ahab, the old wicked king accused Elijah of troubling (I Kings 18:17). That is always the case with a Christ rejector, you always blame God's servants for your trouble instead of repenting. King Ahab's wicked wife Jeze bel tried many times to put Elijah to death but she could not. My friend, you may try to kill God's servant, but if the Lord does not give you permis sion to do it, you’ll never n n nimiiillii til The rebellion against King David was led by a member of his own family. The world makes much sport when a member of the family of God’s servant turns and fights him. Listen my friend, what good does it do your condemned soul on the road to hell that some member of my family hates the Gospel? The same hell will burn both of you. But you get much false satisfac tion out of chewing on the rebellion of a Gospel hater, but in hell your soul will have no ease and satisfaction. King David’s family that rose up against him went down! And when his son Absolom died he cried; Oh Absolom! my son, would to God I had died in your place. David knew his son went to Hell. As I have sat before the Lord and seen the judgment fall on lost souls in my family my heart has bled. I don’t know what joy you can get out of some soul in rebellion. I sure don’t get any joy out of it. D^id knew that son lived in rdAllion and died in rebellion and went to hell. Now the preachers today will not be true to the souls of men like David was. Knowing that his son died and went to hell, why lie about him and try to preach him into heaven? Go in the churches today and practical ly every soul who dies is preached into heaven, almost never into hell. A woman said to my late , pastor one time; none of you preachers believe in hell. The pastor asked why? The wo man replied that she had been to a hundred funerals and the preachers preached them all into heaven. The pastor re plied; sister they better not let me have anything to say at your funeral. I’ll tell the folks where you went to. When my sister died in 1967 some of the members of my family made the statement that 1 said she died and went to hell. Well, she did die and go to hell. They were so mad at me they haven't spoken to me about that matter since. Of all the places in the world prea chers should be true to the souls of men, a funeral is the one place they certainly must be. As the pastor used to say; as death finds you, so shall eternity hold you. What ever state you die in, eternity will hold you there, there is no second chance after death. How will death find you? How will eternity hold YOU? When 1 see souls rise up in rebellion I know but for the distinguishing grace of God that would be J.M. Little. I told a man one morning out at . the General Mail Facility that there was only one difference between my nature and that of a drunkard in the gutter. He looked up at me in much surprise wanting to know what was the difference. I told him the only difference was the grace erf God. The reason you are fighting this poor servant of the Lord is because there is no grace in your life. Did you not read that the Lord said “touch not Mine anointed and do My prophets no harm?” The Lord Jesus Christ holds me in His hand, and my heavenly Fatljpr holds me in His hand, therefore I have double security. You can’t defeat me. Have you not read that the Lord said; “It is impossible but that offences will come; but WOE unto him, through whom they come! It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, AND HE CAST INTO THE SEA, than that he should offend one of these little ones?" (LK. 17:1, 2). Do you know what a mill stone is? Study up on it and see what a millstone is. If a millstone were tied to your neck and you cast into the sea, you would not stop until you hit the bottom, now you think seriously my friend. Every soul who has ever fought the truth has always gone down! There have been some who later in life received a blow of mercy. Take Saul of Tarsus, he was going down the Damas cus road on his way riding high and handsome, to perse cute more Christians. The Lord gave him a blow of mercy. r-veryoofly is taking sides, either with the Lord and His anointed or against them. The re is no neutral ground! You may say; I'm not a Christian but I don't hate the Lord and His anointed. You are deceiv ed! By nature you hate God, since you are not born again you hate God. I plead with you again, don’t ever say a word or do anything against God's people. You may take this attitude as some here have; that So and So J.M. Little, I'd just like to blow his brains out, well, go ahead, I’ll go to heaven and you will go to hell. And five hundred six million years from now you’ll be burning in the flames in regret. You can’t get saved hating me. I’m a stumbling stone to you. But may some of you find mercy in the Lord is my cry for you.
