Joel Grey To Narrate Holiday Special WSOC-TV To Air Dean Martin’s Oiristmas Show Dean Martin rides on horse back near Hidden Valley, Cali fornia in ‘‘Dean Martin s Christmas in California," to be telecast Sunday, December 18 at 10 p.m. on Channel Nine He is joined by city comedians and country singers. Dean’s guests include Jona than Winters, Gabriel Melgar (of “Chico and the Man), award-winning singer Crystal Gayle, Linda Lavin, interna tional singer Mireille Mathieu and the Golddiggers. Martin opens the show sing ing "I’ll Be Home For Christ mas,” followed by the entire cast in "Happy Harvest.” Dean rides one of the many Andalusian horses seen on the show as he performs “Back In Your Own Backyard." He is joined by Winters in a sketch about prospecting and Gayle performs her current hit, “Don’t It Make My Brown Eyes Blue.” 1-1 Featured in the special are the voices of Tammy Grimes as Albert Mouse, John McGiv er as the Mayor of Junction ville, and George Gobel as Father Mouse. The town of Junctionville is troubled that Santa Claus will pass over the village when they find that his feelings have been hurt by an unsigned letter to the editor of the local paper denouncing him as a myth. Sensitive Santa has re turned the town children's letters marked "Not Accepted By Addressee." Only the scho larly Albert Mouse, who re sides in the walls of Trundle House, seems to ignore the situation. Could he have writ ten the letter to the editor?
