“That is definitely my goal,’’
said the smiling former Char
lotte Post Beauty of the Week.
“I would be so happy be
cause that would be the ulti
mate,” she added.
Candice reflected on a gro
wing controversey in the
sports world for a moment as
she answered the question,
“What would you do if a male
reporter came into the ladies
locker room for your inter
view?
“If I had just won a medal, I
would be thrilled,” she said.
“I wouldn’t mind who came to
interview me.” All I would
have to do is to keep my
clothes on until the interview
was over,” she smiled.

at Smith. She spent a year at
North Carolina Central and a
year at Barber-Scotia before
finding her place in the sun.

The most valuable player on
the swimming team placed
third in the SO yard butterfly,
the highest of any of her team
members.
Ms. Council swims the 100
yard free style, and the 100
yard breast stroke in addition
to the butterfly.
