“No Fear Of God”

We are living in a day when
there is no fear ot God before
the eyes of humanity as a
whole. The apostle Paul, writ
ing to the Homan saints gives
clear, and I’ll say a very clear
and striking commentary on
the total depravity of man in
the first three chapters of the
Book of Romans
In verse 18 he caps it all with
these words: There is NO
FEAR OF GOD BEFORE
THEIR EYES, "In the church
and out of the church today
there is no fear of God The
individual who fears God is
afraid of sinning against him.
How many of you try to blame
God for your sins
I suggest you take your
Bible and very carefully stu
dy the first three chapters of
the Book of Romans and ask
the Lord to awaken you, and
show you your true lost and
depraved state out of Christ.
My friend, the greatest thing
that can happen to you as a
sinner, is for the Holy Spirit to
awaken you to the fact you
are lost and on the road to
Hell.
It was a great day in my life
w hen God awakened me to the
fact I was lost. Have you ever
been awakened to the fact
you are lose.' tteiore you can
be saved you must be awake
ned to the fact you are lost.
Once you are truly awa
kened. you come to see that
you have nothing, absolutely
nothing to recommend you
to God Under Holy Spirit Con
viction (Jn. 16: 7-11) you come
to find that you are a totally
depraved being, a child of the
Devil (Jn. 8:44). Oh 1 with
multitudes of you were even
awakened.

made to see that you have no
righteousness (Vs. 10). It has
been taught down through
tne ages, from the pulpit and
_ the classroom that man has
r some goodness in him no
matter how long in sin he may
go. You've heard this saying;'
"there is some good in the
worst of men." _
The Bible knows no such
doctrine as that! That teach
ing is a lie out of Hell! You
believe that there is some
good in you because you have
never been under Holy Spirit
Conviction. A saved person
will tell you that he has no
goodness by nature, and that
; the only good there is in him,
I is what the Lord gave him in
- the New Birth. There are just
some things every saved per
son knows. And there are just
some things a saved person,
will not say because he knows
better.
Vs. 11 “There is none that
understandeth, there is none
that seeketh after God." When
the Lord awakened me to my
loci condition. I saw that I had
never sought the Lord. Let me
say this; no sinner can seek
the Lord in his natural blind
and dead state. You are dead!
If it never pleases the Lord
to seek you, you never will
know Him. Now you can go on
and join with some church or
all the churches in the world,
but that is not salvation!
Christ and Christ alone is
salvation. You don’t come to
know Christ by joining the
church, walking the aisle, or
making a profession. You
come to know Christ by the
Holy Spirit revealing Him to
your heart through the Word
of God. And no other way!
Now you think on that Do you
have Christ or just a religious
profession?
Multitudes of you have no
fear of God resting upon your
heart because you have never
seen and felt the danger your
poor soul is in out of Christ.
The multitudes of you go to
bed and rise just as hogs and
dogs. You live as though vou’ll
never have to give an account.
Let me talk to you about
fearing God and you never
heard such language. We are
living in the most fearless
generation the world has ever
known.
My friends, you are headed
for eternity, you are eternity
bound. Where are you going
sinner? Everyday brings you
nearer to death and eternity.
From reports that have rea
ched me. some eighty four
persons die every minute the
world over, and one hundred
and fortv IhoiLunri thp \.nr]H
over. That is thousands upon
thousands of souls going out
into eternity. When a soul of
the secular world dies, it 's just
one more face in Hell, when a
soul of the religious world
dies, it’s just a leap into the
dark.
Talk to the average church
member today, and you find
that not only is there the
absence of the fear of God in
his life, but he is unsure of his
eternal destiny.
But the believer has a solid
Foundation to rest his poor
tired soul upon. My Founda
tion is Christ. I am Divinely
destined to be with Him
wherever He may go. As the
pastor used to say; if you
want U) be great, find out
where God is going and go
with him. I would not ex
change what I have in Christ
for ten thousand worlds like
this one. When this world has
passed away, I’ll be safe with
Christ. How is it with you
friends'.'

things. What couid be more
important than the salvation
of your soul? Life here on this
earth is but a vapor or sha
dow but you will be in eternity
forever. You and l didn t bring
anything in this world and it is
certain we can carry nothing
out. You came out of the womb
naked.
The soul who has been
redeemed has a different sto
ry to tell as he passes through
this old sinful world which is
not my home. 1 love to tell the
old old story of Christ who
came from glory to redeem
this poor sinner. Yes, and one
day. He is coming for me.
High and Low, religious and
non-religious, today it is diffi
cult to fine a soul who really
and truly fears the Lord. You
go all day and never think of
Him. But the beleiver lives to
meditate on his blessed Lord.
Once I was dead in trepasses
and sins.
But now I am risen with
Christ. My hope is not only in
Christ, but my hope is Christ.
Who is your hope? I would that
you knew Him What a joy He
would be to your heart and
life.
Listen; “Being justified
freely by His grace through
redemption that is in Christ
Jesus.’’ There you have it,
that is how God saves every
sinner He saves. If you are not
saved like that then you are
not saved! You can call me
judging all you want to, its
your soul at stake not mine.
Show me a soul who fears
sinning against the Lord and
I'll show you that that soul is
loved of God. The fear of God
rests upon His people, not the
world.
While you are criticizing
someonelse, you could go to
Hell. If you could only have
you eyes fixed on Christ. If you
ever are to be saved your eyes
will be fixed on Christ. If you
forget everybody and every
thing, you want only Christ.
