Ms. Dorothy Howell, the
Assistant Director of Central

A native of Charlotte, Ms.
Howell is a graduate of West
Charlotte High School. She
attended Johnson C. Smith
University. Her preparation
for her position, she said,
"was mostly on the job train
ing, but I did go to Johnson C.
Smith University."
Ms.Howell is a member of
Green Oak Baptist Church
where she serves with the
Missionary Circle. Ms. Howell
has been working at Memorial
Hospital since 1965. The one
thing she said she likes most
about her job is “working with
people."
Tom Karr, the Director of
Central Services, is very plea
sed with Ms. Howell’s work.
He commented, "She is one of
the most fantastic people in
Charlotte, as far as I’m con
cerned.”
Ms. Howell has been work
ing in Central Services for
years. "She is very dedicated
to her work and dedicated to
this institution,” Karr con
cluded.
