I'roplu't's Column “Face To Face” By J M Little For now we see through a tLa». darkly, but then Face to ice now 1 know in part; but then s iall 1 know even as also known 'I Cor. 13:12) :.c believer has everything be : eeds m Christ. But down nere in this lifetime, we do not see every thing that we have in Christ Jesus our Lord. We see ’b'i'i'vb a mirror, darkly tor ■n'l>> or.ly part of what our heavenly Father has given us | in Christ. I only know in part what the Father planned for me in Christ before the foundation of the world. The apostle Paul setting forth some great truths here that you and I who are saved need to ponder. When Christ comes to glori fy every saint, then we shall know as we are known Paul says The Lord knows us now, and what He has prepared for us. and when He comes for us, then we, too, shall know as he has known us from eternity. What a glorious thought! What a heavenly truth! The believer’s stay on this earth is but for a moment. This world is not my home. When Christ comes. I’ll see him Face to Face, the One died for me. Are you longing to act- min: i am. is mere anyone else you'd want to see more than Christ? If there is, then you don't know Him.,. The believer has two na tures; the old carnal nature you were born with as a child of Adam, then the new nature you were given in the new birth (II Cor. 5?17) Have you been bom again? As long as we are in the flesh we will be troubled by this old nature, but praise the Lord the new man in Christ has power over the old man of the flesh. If that were not true then I would run to the world and all its so-called pleasures as I did in the davs of mv unresenera cy. The believer is in the world but not of the world. There was a time when I knew nothing of Christ. I had a head knowledge of Christ when I as in the religious world. But when it pleased the Holy Spirit to awaken me ■r' my lost condition, I saw I didn't know Christ. Before you can be saved you have got to be awakened to your lost condition That truth needs to be preached in every mes sage Our churches and the ministry have gotten away from the fact that every sinner has to be made alive by the Holy Spirit to his list condi tion! How sad it is that we have drifted away from Di- i » *«ic U UUU. j The believer is a heavenly character tabernacled in a body of clay. Everything God gave me in the New Birth is heavenly The Lord did not take one thing from this earth and put into the New Birth. Have you been born again? 1 was just reading in the newspaper this morning how a group claims they have found a gospel of Thomas. They went on to say that in gospel of Thomas that Christ is not called Lord or Christ. Now, if you had any ounce of spiritual sense you’d know that thing you have found is not the I,ord because it denies the Lordship of Jesus Christ! Now you re member that. Anything or anyone who denies the Lord ship of Jesus Christ is of the Devil! When Thomas put his hands in the spearribboned side of my I-ord he cried; my Lord and my God Brother, Thomas knew the Saviourship of the Ixird Jesus Christ. I plead with everyone of you not to take up with these groups who are trying to undermine vour faith in the Lordship of Jesus Christ Christ is both I-ord and God ' Saviouri The Saviourship of Christ is hidden in His Lord ship you'll never know Him as /our Saviour I was sitting in a r—- s MiiiiiiiHSmMHBP J. M. Little church audience one Sunday night when a preacher who was preaching, told the con gregation;“You can know Christ as your Saviour without knowing Him as your Lord.” That is a lie out of Hell! Unless you bow to Christ as LORD, you will never know Him as Saviour! One day, face to face I shall see Him. And then just to think thatHe’ll say; “Welcome home My child. Listen to the words of the poet.” “Face to Face with Chrisj my Saviour, Face to Face what will it be?” When with rapture J behold Him! Jesus Christ who died for me!” Listen again: “Only faintly now I see Him, with the darkling veil be be tween.” “But a blessed day is com ing, When His glory shall be seen!” Praise the Lord. Yes, one day His glory shall be seen. Are you looking for Him? I am! Listen again; “But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love Him.” <1 Cor. 2:9) Just think on that, God has prepared things for us that we can't ki: *t-u. lifetime We may have just a little glimpse of some things through a glass darkly as Paul puts it. But Paul was the man cau ght up to the Third Heaven where God dwells. The Lord showed him what was at the end of his earthly journey. In other words, the Lord took Paul up to heaven before he finished his earthly ministry. Yes that’s right, the Lord took him up to heaven and then after he showed him all his heavenly treasures in Christ, and all that glory in Christ that Paul would have at the end of his earthly ministry, He brought him back down to earth to preach the Gospel as no man has ever preached it since. You can call me crazy for saying that if you want to. I believe God's word. Every believer also knows a little of what is at his journey's end. My friend, I'll never forget what God showed me when He saved me. I have a little knowledge of what is at the end of my journey here, and then I’ll see Christ Face to Face, the One who died for me. That’s why I don't care what you say about me, you say I'm crazy but I go on because I've seen through the eyes of my Lord just a little of what is on the other side. Praise the Lord! And I’ll say with the Apostle Paul and every old devine. THE GREATEST THING IN ALL THIS WORLD, IN ALL THIS UNIVERSE, is’ JUST TO KNOW Christ as m« I»rd and my Saviour. Praise the Lord! Yes, far beyond the starry sky, I shall see Him. What is your hope my friend? Christ is mine. And one day soon, Face to Face.I’ll see Him and be with Him for all eternity. Praise the Lord!
