Oreo McCullough ...Memorpl United delegate Oren McCullough To Attend Church Meeting Oren McCullough will be a te to the annual meet rf Presbyterian Men when it convenes in Indiana polis, Ind. March 31-April 2. McCullough is a member of Memorial United Presbyter ian Church, 2600 Beatties Ford Road. Rev. Edward B. New berry is his pastor. The theme of this national event will be “Living Christ’s Mission In Word And Deed" and according to a spokes man, it challenges members to discover the meaning of mission and to take an active oari in its accomDlishment. United Presbyterian Men have identified four major areas of concern in which programs are being developed Dy the National Council. These are Bible study, witness, mini stries to families, the support ive roles of lay people and pastors, and active lay invol vement in churchwide mis sion. The addresses and work shops of the Indianapolis - meeting are designed to help equip United Presbyterian men in responding to the theme. Among the program partici pants will be Daniel W. Martin, president, National Council of United Presbyterian Men, Cincinnati, Ohio, and Clinton N&tatarsh, Moderator of the lBMh General Assembly (1974)Associate Synod Exe cutive, Synod of the South; k Atlanta, Ga Local Students Receive Academic Honor Greensboro-Barbara An gela Johnson, a senior and Windy Yvette Brown, a fresh man at Bennett College wen recently recognised for out standing academic achieve ment in the Honors Convocat ion. Named twice during the year, it recognizes cumulative scholarly achievement. Hon ors Convocation honors those students who maintain high semester averages, depending on their classification. Windy is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Charles Brown who resides at 2009 LaSalle St. And Barbara, a mathematics student, is the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. William Johnson who resides at 1438 Echo Glen Rd.
