The three children to benefit from the money raised were Paul Watson, C. J. airaue, ana Angeia Mor rison. Almost 50 young ladies from ages two to 12 com pvicu 111 Uic I IIII υ /\IlilUcil Doll show. A beautiful talking doll was also given :o Bonita Washington when :wo-year-old Aisha Dew pulled Bonita's name from he box. Last year's queen, Anna Branham, gave up her :rown to the new queen. Michelle Miller Wanda Berry gave an inspiring performance of "You Light Up My Life." Robert Stin son gave the welcome. Jeanette S. Kobinson, Basileus of the sorority, expressed her greatful ap preciation to the parents of the contestants who helped make the program a suc cess. Also during the pro gram Soror Robinson re cognized her out of town guests, Dr. and Mrs. Per cival Everett, and daugh ter Denise from Columbia, S.C. and Annetta Stinson and children from Green ville, SC. This is just one com munity service among many sponsored by Gam ma Phi Delta Sorority. Ac cording to Mrs. Robinson, Basileus for the Sorority, "We shall continue to ren der our service where we feel we are needed most." Smith ^Diversity was the guest ipeaker at the 44th Annual Peeting of the McCrorey ranch Young Men's christian Association. I Seventy-four Century hub members received Baques for contributing noo. each to the McCrorey ■ranch. I To maintain membership in individual or organiza tion must donate annually to the YMCA. Funds are used to Finance programs and for building upkeep and reno vation. Dr. Maxwell spoke on the Lheme of progress and the future of the YMCA. During 1979 McCrorey »as· renovated to include a "ltness center and a Uni versal Machine to encou age more adult participa ion. An athletic field, •emodeled swimming pool, ind painting on the ex erior was also added. Although a major portion ψ the YMCA was closed for six months last year, ac :ording to L. E. Poe, the 1979 board chairman, the JfMCA still served 2,000 people through program activities. Since completing the re îovations, many new mem >ers have beed added, he said, and the YMCA is regaining some former members.
