The Add-In Tennis Association, to which
Larry was president, hosted quite a warm
agenda at the beautiful home of Dwietit and
Cheryl Sullivan, 5710 Windbluff Drive. The
party, wnicn was a veritable feast tit for the
highest royalty, was highlighted with roasts
of brother Jemison, rendered by Cliff
Johnson, Titus' Ivory _antf_ Lester “Doc”
Wallace. Jemison was amused by the fun
» toving cracks, but being a'glib talker
himself, he in turn roasted all the members
of the club. •

HOT PERFORMANCES...Hot spots, two
words that could mean any" number of
things when used together. For example;
popular watering holes, places where the
Tawis frequently seen, or piaces-on the body—
human. However, in this case Hot Spots are
eight yoUrig musicians who thoroughly
entertained audiences last weekend at the
Midway Lounge Friday night and the King
and yueeri Sunday night.
The group is led by Latin and African
Percussionist Nedrae' Turner, a talented
young performer who hails from Brooklyn,
New York.’ Other members of the group
include Thomas Ford, one of the baddest
electric bass players in this area. Thorrtas is
Nedrae’s husband and a product 6f Collins'
Connection. Robert Wilson, a strong lead
and rhythm guitarist plus lead and backup
vocalist has played with the 3 Degrees, Kool
and The Gang and Brook Benton. Rounding
out the more experienced players with Hot
Spots is Michael Eagen from Kearney, New
Jersey. Michael plays TZ string and six
string" guitars and doubles as lead and
backup vocalist. Michael cut two records
while leading his own group, Michael Eagen
Band. ' .. ..
Arnold w. Sanders, who pTays aito and
tenor saxophones, flute and backup vbcals';
MiChael Bernard Walker,' who play& key
boards, lead and backup vbcals, Charlerie
Turner, who sings lead and backup .vocals
and plays percussion and Mickey Caldwell
on drums, are the junior members of the
group in terms of experience.
The Hot Spot Band has been playing
together for a mere two months. What they
lack in compactness of sound, they make up
in intensity and enthusiasm.
