WHAT’S HAPPENING!! THE BEGINNING...Life is like music, it must be composed by ear, feeling and instinct, not by rule. Nevertheless, one had better know the rules; for they sometimes guide in doubtful cases, though not often. Add to this engender, man, whose body has been trained to be the ready servant of his mind; whose passions are trained to be the servants of his will; who enjoys the beautiful, loves truth, hates wrong, loves to do good, and respects others as himself. Delicately mix the one in the world who feels a keener pang for him who is sad than he feels for him self; the one who rejoices in another’s honor, more than in any which is one’s own; one to whom reflected joy is better than " that which comes direct; the one on whom another’s BOB JOHNSON lence sheds no beam but that of delight; the one who hides another’s informities more faithfully than one’s own; toe one who loses all sense of self in the sentiment of kindness, tenderness, and devotion to another; that one is woman. Stir in the times when the souls of human beings, omen more often than men, begin to faint for toe atmosphere of the affections they are made to breathe. Plus the cure for all the ills and wrongs, the —cares, the sorrows; and too primes of_ humanity, “love.” It is the divine vitality that everywhere produces and restores life. It is the final ingredient for a perfect domestic dish - marriage. Marriage like the useful bee, builds a house, and gathers sweetness from every flower, labors and unites into societies and republics, send out colonies, and feeds the world with delicacies and keeps order, and exercises many virtues, and promotes the interest of mankind. Charles Qlandis Simmons and Teresa Lorita Burns will be held accountable for the vows they spoke last Saturday evening at Second Calvary Baptist Church in the presence of a church full of friends and relatives, since they are the man and woman in this domestic dish. Judging from the happy expressions shown on the newlyweds’ faces, toe accountability factor should be fun to tend with. For their expressions seemed to say, “what greater thing is there for two human souls than to feel that they are joined for life - to strengthen each other in all labor, to rest on each other in all sorrow, to minister to each other in all pain, to be one with each other in silent unspeakable memories at the moment of toe last parting/’ Speaking of parting, Charles and Teresa parted company with their people in Char lotte last Monday. They went to the Bahamas for a honeymoon stint to savor the sweetness of the beginning. THE NEED TO CORRESPOND. There are two lives to each of us, the life of over actions, and the life of our minds and hearts. History reveals men’s deeds and their outward characters, but not them selves. There is a secret self that has its own life, impenetrated and unguessed. — -Donnie Whitlock, a-twenty-eight year old black man is a victim of his two lives. His body is incarcerated within the southern Ohio Correctional Facility, near Lucasville, Ohio. His mind and heart are free and seeking correspondence with someone out side the confines of the prison walls. Donnie is five feet eleven inches tall, his weight is one hundred sixty pounds. He is in dire need of correspondence because, according to Donnie, he has neither family nor friends in the free world, and he doesn’t receive any mail. Mr. Whitlock says that his interests are many, pleasure are few and he hopes that someone will respond to his request. All letters will be answered promptly. When-writing, please write to Donnie Whitlock, P. 0.
