His duties will include helping coordinate sever al specific kinds of work in the Synod’s programs. Dr. Burkette is senior paster of the Dayton Avenue Pres byterian Church in St. Paul, Minnesota, a position he baa held since 1975. Rev. Dudley Crawford is chairman of the search commlttse that selected Dr. Burkette. “Dr. Burk ette hes the kind of per sonality we felt will be important to accompltab ing the tasks of the Synod in the next tew years,” Rev. Crawford commented.
