He blamed the or ganization’s financial pro blems on blacks in gen eral, rather than NAACP leaders. “Some of the blacks being assisted by the NAACP never contri bute money,” he project ed. “It’s not just the NAACP that blacks don’t support,” Alexander added. He said, “...black historical programs in general receive little sup port. A hypothetical ex ample is black colleges,” he stated. “The support of tilack colleges by black people is minimal.” Alexander summed up his point when he stated imore people need to be asking what have they done to support the hfAACP. “Then they’ll know why this 75 year- old organization is having money problems,” he assured.
