Ms. Johnson is a sixth grader at Myers Park Tra ditional School. She will be one of two in recital on June 2. Lieberman Elected To Port Mecklenburg County Parks and Recreation Commission member Gerald “Gerry” Ueber man has been elected to a three-year term oo the Sierra Club National Board of Directors. The 15-member board sets priorities and policies for the organization’s 350,000 members, 200 em ployees, and annual budget of $21 million. Lieberman, president of the George B. and G. Lieber man Co., has served as chairman of the Joseph LeConte Chapter of Sierra Club. His involve ment with Sierra flnh gan in - the local 850 member Central Piedmont Chapter. His spedial areas of interest include world population growth, the na tionwide disappearance of areas, and the decline of the nation's water and air resources. Locally, he has focused his concerns on the preservation of wilderness areasand the proper dis- * posal of hazardous waste. Lieberman is in the third _year_o< service on the County Parks and Recre ation Commission.
