Grlffl" At Galilee Mrs. Mattie Halsey Named “Mother Of The Year” By Loretta Man ago Post Staff Writer Mrs. Mattie Halsey takes a winning attitude at every endeavor she undertakes. At the onset of the contest Mrs. Halsey had one goal in mind and that was to become the victor. “I started out to win and when I found out that I’d come in first place I felt good.” Mrs. Halsey enjoys the work she does for her church. At Galilee, she serves on the Usher Board, the Vocal choir and the Hymn choir. She is the wife of Elbert Halsey and the mother of three daughters and four sons. The “Mother of the Year” contest was spon sored by the Youth of the i---_L Joy of Harmony Choir at Galilee where Rev. Fred Griffith is pastor.
