Church News Briefs Middle Street AME Zion Church Will Hold Its Annual Revival Services ay Teresa Simmons Post Managing Editor Middle Street AME Zion Church, located at 301 Greystone Rd., will hold its Annual Revival Services beginning Sunday, September 18, through September 21. Services Sunday will be at 3 p.m. Monday through Friday services will be held each night at 7:30. On Sunday, Rev. J. T. White, pastor of Walls Memorial AME Zion Church, will be the guest speaker. His congregation and choir will accompany him. The evangelist for the week will be Rev. Darryl B. Starnes, pastor of Greater • Warner Tabernacle AME Zion Church in the Knoxville Maryville area. He is a graduate of Livingstone College and Hood The ological Seminary. He and his wife, two children, Alici and Millicent. LIVING SAVIOUR LUTHERAN CHURCH Living Saviour Lutheran Church, 6817 Carmel Hoad Extension, is the site for a singles conference designed for never married, separated or divorced, and widowed persons in the Charlotte-Mecklen burg area. The all-day conference begins with registration and coffee at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday . September 22, and concludes at 5 p.m. Lunch is included in the $10 registration fee. Topics for discussion in the three sessions of one and one-half hours (duration include: Finding and Maintaining Self-Esteem; Single Parenting; Building Personal Relationships; Adjusting to the Loss of a Spouse or Relative; The Legal and Financial Concerns of Singles. Participants will be given the opportunity to choose at least three of the topics, which will be led by professionals from within the Charlotte community. The final phase of the conference will focus on how to establish community-based support systems for singles that will continue to meet their needs and offer constructive - directions.
