Smith’s football team had a week off to recover from its 0-2 start and will face life anew against Bowie State Saturday night at Charlotte Memorial Stadium. Kick off is at 7:30 p.m. The Golden Bulls own a three game win streak over the Bulldogs since Bowie State joined the CIAA in 1981 John Organ’s team has given Smith fits the last two years, losing 7-0 and 42-45 The Bulls scored three touchdowns in the final five minutes last year to pull out the win. The Bulldogs are out to break Smith’s mastery over them and stand a chance for two reasons Bowie State loves to throw the ball, led by veteran quarterback Fran Stevens who has ranked among the CIAA passing leaders the past two years.
