Carlton Fleming, Charlotte attorney, will merge his practice with that of Womble Carlyle Sand ridge & Rice on October 1. Womble Carlyle is the largest law firm in North Carolina with 71 lawyers and offices in Winston Salem and Raleigh. It is also one of the oldest, having been founded in 1876. With the opening of the Charlotte office, it will be the only law firm in the state to have offices in Charlotte, Raleigh and the Winston-Salem Greensboro-High Point area. Fleming, who will be managing partner in the new office, began his practice in Charlotte in 1953. Since 1960 he has been a partner in Fleming, Robinson, Bradshaw and Hinson. He serves on several corporate boards Including Pneumafil Corpor ation, Ivey Properties, Burris Chemical and J.A.J. Holding Corporation. She wore a headpiece of white silk flowers and silk leaves holding a long veil of white illusion edged in amour satin. Her bouquet was white carnations and raspberry dipped roses. The matron of honor was Vero nica Bowman and bridesmaids were Sylvia Bittle, Carol Croutch, Avis Gainey. Linda Lindsey. Kenner Moore, Donna Wallace, Shee Bennett, Brenda Kennedy, Rhonda Robinson and Diane Streater. They all wore full length gowns of rasp berry tissue taffeta with scal loped necklines, embroidered bodice and puffed sleeves. The groom chose Tomilper Streat er for his best man and the groomsmen included Antonio Bittle, .—Ralph—Bittle, Christopher Carter. Malcom Croutch, Kenneth Dae, Travis Dae, Roy Ezell, Jr., James Gregory, Rodney Lindsey, Gary Looper, Myron Patton and Stanley Reynolds. Miss Tyisha Lindsey was the flower girl with Master Decorian Streater as ring bearer Music for the ceremony was pro vided by Eric Brown, pianist organist, and soloists Gregory Patton, Sylvia Bittle and Myron Patton. The daughter of Mrs. Ernestine Bowman Dae, the bride attended UNCC and is employed by Jones and Presnell Studios, Inc. The late Burise Celester Bittle, Sr. and Mrs. Yvonne Streater Bittle are the parents of the groom. He is a graduate of UNCC and is employed by Federal Reserve Bank of Char lotte. For maid of honor the bride chose Renee McCoy. Anna McCoy, Doris McCoy, Gloria Smith, Rena Thompson, Louise Smith, Mary Mintz and Majorita Wilson were the remaining bridesmaids. La bchanda McCoy and Tamara Wilson were the flower girls. Rickey Mobley was the groom’s best man. And the ushers for the wedding were Davis Mobley; Donald Wilson, Ricky McClure;Chris - McCoy, Tyrone Chambers, Kelvin Stuart, Douglas Craig and Eugene Smith. Donald Wilson, Jr., was the ring bearer. Music for the ceremony was provided by Anna Marie McCoy She sang "If Only You Knew". The daughter of Mr. and Mrs Amos McCoy, the bride attended Kings College and is employed as a secretary at Barclays American. A carpenter for Myers Chapman, the groom is the son of Ms Lizzie Smith.
