“It Is Grace To Know Him”

Salvation in Christ can
Salvation is all of Grace.
Salvation is knowing Christ
ss your Lord and your
Saviour. Salvation is not
being converted to truths,
doctrines, or even the Word
of God. Salvation is Christ,
Himself, revealed to your
heart. If you don’t believe
that, I have no message for
you, and the Bible has no
message for you. The
greatest thing in this uni
verse is Just to know Him,
it is grace to know Him.
God doesn’t bestow the
grace of of knowing Christ
upon everybody, Just His
elect. All these truths I am
setting forth cut across the
grain because you have
been taught in the reUglouB
world that you can do
Before a sinner can De
brought to know Christ, he
ha# to be brought to know
himself; his lost condition,
his rebellion against God.
Hgfto you ever sen your'
condition? Have you
seen that you are far
rom God and there is a
great gulf fixed between
you and God? Have you
ever seen that by nature
you are S child of the
Devil? You wU see all

in trespasses and sin,”
(Eph. 2:1). The word .
“quickened” means made
alive, or awakened. The'
blessed Holy Spirit in His
great grace and mercy,'
makes you alive and you
see for the first time in
your life that you are a lost
sinner, you have missed
Christ, and that you are a
child of Satan. Have you
• ever seen that* If not, you
are not saved.

our churches today until
the religious world will not
have a born again testi
mony and when a true be
liever visits in a lost
church, the people don’t
recognize him, and that
includes the present day
ministry. I would that the
Holy Spirit would awaken
many today to their lost
condition. Every sinner is
in a state of total dark
ness. You have a darkened
heart. There is no Divine
light in a sinner’s heart.
But, oh, what grace when
the command goes forth
from the portals of glory;
“Let there be light in that
sinner’s heart.” How is this
done? “For God, who
commanded the light to
shine out of darkness, hath
shined in our hearts, to gfVe
the light of the knowledge
of the glory of God in the
face of Jesus Christ,” (II
Cor. 4:6). In salvation, God
gives the command and Di
vine light is shone into the
darkened heart of the elect
sinner. When this light is
shone into your heart, you
see that you are a lost
sinner. No one can reveal
your lost condition to you.
This is the sole work of the
Holy Spirit. It was grace
back there that day when
the Lord gave the com
mand for the light to' be
shone into the darkened
heart of J. M. Little. When
He shone the light in my
heart, I saw I had never
been saved. It’s grace upon
grace and mercy upon
mercy when the Lord
shines the light in and lets
you see that you are lost.
Without this Divine work in
the heart by the Holy Spi
rit, the sinner dies and goes
to Gell without warning.
God awakens the sinner in
order to save him, look at
these gracious Words;
“...to give the light of the
KNOWLEDGE of the glory
of God in the face of Jesus
Christ.” Right there is
where Christ is
REVEALED to your heart!
Apart from the revelation
of Christ to your heart, you
would remain lost forever
and forever! If Christ has
net been revealed to your
heart, you are not saved.
Salvation is the REVELA
TION of Christ to a sin
ner’s heart. There is no
other way you can be saved
apart from the revelation
of Christ to your heart. This
is a Divine truth that is
hidden from the multitudes '
in the religious world
today. There are only a few
preachers who can preach
this truth to you today.
unless a preacher has been
brought down under Holy
Spirit conviction and Christ
revealed to his heart, he is
a total stranger to this
truth. Hiat is why you hear
individuals say; “I led So
and So to Christ." That is
blasphemy against the
Holy Spirit. If you could
lead a sinner to Christ then
there would be no need for
Holy Spirit conviction and
there would be four persons
in the Godhead. What a
tragedy it is for some poor,
blinded soul to think that he
can lead a sinner to Christ.
You cannot awaken a sin
ner to his lost condition, ;
much less lead him toi
Christ. Totally depraved
man cannot shine the light
of the Gospel into a dead,
sinner’s heart. Are you
beginning to see that sal
vation is of the Lord: And
how foolish are these man
made methods of salvation.
If you had anything to do
with your salvation, then
you are not saved) If
there’s one hair’s breadth
of works in your salvation,
you are lost.

Before I left Denver as I
acting postmaster, a man -
came by one day and was |
talking about how he led a
sinner to Christ. I went on
to tell him very pointedly
that it was the work of the
Holy Spirit to lead a sinner
to Christ and only the Holy
Spirit can. I wish we could
just keep straight on bow
the Lord saves a sinner.
Then Paul said; “But we
have this treasure
(CHRIST REVEALED) in
earthen vessels, that the
excellency of the power
may be of God,.and not of
us,” (Verse- 7).
