During this week the Children’s Home Society hopes that adults will respond to the needs of the many chikken who need that special love. Last year the society worked with state and pri vate agencies and helped 48 school-age children have the love and security that comes mom a family. He abo ac quired a B.A. degree in Occupational Education in service from the Southern Illinois University. Phil lips has worked in refrige ration and air-conditioning as a member of the 60th Civil Engineering Squad ron at Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, Califor nia. Phillips is currently living in Mississippi com pleting cross training in the Add of electronics Married to Krisonna, Phillips has two daughters, Montressa, three and La Tasha, two. . Guest speakers Dr. Bar bara Alane Kerr, Dr. Leslie Kaplan and Dr. Joyce Van Tassel Baska will speak at the 12th Annual North Ca rolina Gifted and Talented Conference March 15-16 at Adam’s Mark Hotel in Charlotte.
