Some of Charlotte’s most charm
ing young ladies will be presented
daring the upcoming Delta Debo
• tante Annual Cotillion.
It will be a time for the young
ladiea to experience specific instruc
tions in several areas l nr hating self
confidence, poise...even In the. area
of dance. They will participate in a
waits during the program.
It will be a special time indeed as

debut to society in a memorable
I event. This 21st Cotillion will be held

Center.

student Ms. Howey is interested in
both music and dancing. She is the
daughter of James and Marva
Howey. She is a member of the
FBLA, the Marching Band, Open
Advisory, Latin Club and is Home
room Representative, She is also
involved with the Yduth Group at
her church.
She has volunteered her time with
the TEEN Hotline aqd with the Miss
Donna's School of Dandng.
Ms. Kirn Johnson is involved in the
National Beta Club, the Renaisanee
Club, Interclub Council, PAWS
(Spirit Club), the Marching and
concert Bands, Student Council and
it Senior class Treasurer at South
Mecklenburg High School. She
enjoys music, Spanish, reading, his
tory end biology. *'■ W

in "Clone Up Washington”.
At her church Ms. Johnson is
involved as Youth Group Chairper

ship Commute, Youth Rally Com

tery Youth Council. Her parents are
Henrietta McClain and the late Mr.
McClain.
Ms. Yolanda Johnson is the daugh
ter of J. Bernard and Zandra John
son of Craftsbury Drive.
Aa student at Garinger Senior
High School, Ms. Johnson is a mem
ber of the Executive Council, the
GGS and Inroads (college prepara
tory classes at UNCC). She is also
president of the Youth Council at
First Baptist Church-West
A student at Myers Park Senior
High School Ms. Lindsay is involved
in track, loves to sing and contri

butes her time to community activi
ties.
She is a member of several church
activities, the J.S. DECA Club and is
Band manager. ‘She has recieved
three trophies in track, basketball,
and cheerleading. She has also
received one bronze medal and one
gold medal for track and field.
She is the daughter of Robert
Lindsay of Pennsylvania and Mar
garet Lindsay of McDonald Avenue.
These young ladies, along with 36
others, will be featured. Only one
will be crowned queen of the ball,
but all are princesses possessing the
required charm and grace.
