>' Conference On Day Care Planned Child-care providers, parents, • legislators, child advocates and others interested in child day care in North Carolina will want to make plans to attend a conference on day-care issues to be held March 28-30, in Raleigh. The conference will focus on “Meeting the Challenge of the ’80s Child” and will provide a forum for discussion of day-care issues. Sessions will be held bn public education and day care, child abuse and neglect, cost vs. quality, national and statewide trends in day care and working with legislators. The registration fee of *25 per person will cover one luncheon, speakers, breaks and materials. Participation is on a first-come, first-served basis. After March 1, . 1985, the registration fee will be *35 , per person. Top Scorer K graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte was the top scorer in the state on the November administration of the Certified Public Accountant examination. James Lawrence Miller topped 1,225 other persons taking the exam.
