A special institute entitled "Strengthening the Church and Fa mily Through Evangelism” will be held at the First Baptist Church West 1801 Oaklawn Ave. Sunday March 10 through Thursday March 14 at 7 p.m. nightly. Rev. Dr. William Lee Jr., his church choirs and others will lead the Sunday night evangelistic ser vice. Classes for all ages, all church groups and departments will be held each night. Class for pastors, asso ciate ministers, deacons, trustees, missionaries and Sunday School workers as well as for children, young adults, adults and other church leaders will be held. The study sessions will be followed each night by an inspirational period of panel discussions by ministers of the Mecklenburg General Baptist Association, sponsors of the insti tute. The association, under the a hie leadership of Rev. Dr. J.B. Hum phrey, has planned for oyer a year these dynamic evangelistic events. “Thousands of people will be touched by an out-reach committee trained in personal soul-winning for Christ,” stated Rev. William Lee Jr., secretary-treasurer of the Mecklenburg General Baptist Association and pastor of Silver Mount Baptist Church. Also from April 14-19 the institute, in yet another step in winning souls and names for the “Book of Life,” will present Rev. Clay Evans, na tional TV and radio minister, re cording artists in a full week of a Revival Crusade. This crusade will be held at the West Charlotte Senior High School Auditorium, 2219 Senior Dr. The theme is “To Save the Family”. The public is cordially invited to hear Rev.
