Dr. Wilbert Greenfield t .Former JCSU president • \JCStJ Residence Hall Named For Dr. Greenfield At its most recent meeting, the Board of Trustees of Johnson C. Smith University voted to honor former university president Wilbert Greenfield, by naming the newest Residence Hall after him. The dedication ceremonies are scheduled for Friday, April 19, at noon in the front entrance of the new Residence Hall. Johnson G Smith University president Robert L. Al bright will bring the greethfe. Dr. Matthew J. Whitehead, chairman of the board of trustees, will formally proclaim the naming of the hall, and Dr. Greenfield.Will give the closing remarks. The new Residence Hall is a three story, 220-student capacity resi dence center located behind Carter Hall men’s dormitory, on the north east side of the campus. Each of the three floors have lounge areas, study rooms and typing-computer terminal rooms. A small communi ty kitchen, library and laundry facility are also featured along with a central courtyard for recreation al purposes. . * “Hiis dedication represents five years of planning, fund raising, hope and hard work on the part of many people,” cited Johnson C. Smith University president, Dr. Robert L. Albright. “Our entire university is pleased that the Board of. Trustees voted to name the hall after Dr. Greenfield. The hall has served as an impetus in spurring Johnson C.
