annual Campus Circus at
Central Piedmont Com
munity College.
The campus, located in
the heart of the Elizabeth
neighborhood on the comer
of Independence Blvd. and
Elizabeth Ave., will be a
swirl of activity from 10
a.m. until 4 p.m. '■
Campus Circus begins
with a 5-K road race. The
President’s Cup Race.
Other types of competition
will take place throughout
the day: chess, checkers,
jigsaw puzzles, crossword
puzzles, a bake-off, and
invitational ping-pong and
J billiards tournaments
Prize-winning Paso Fino
horses will perform and
exhibitions of raku, gym
nastics, fencing and mar
tial arts are scheduled.
Mini-courses on rack and
roll, wood-carving, and the
history of music will' take
place throughout the day. ‘
The college’s dance com
pany, Dance Central, will
give two free performanc
es.

plane crash, leaving him

Kate Marshall (Ms
Gless), a school teacher,

finally decides to make an

telling her it’s over. Kate

encounter group presided
over by a dedicated,
warm-hearted psychologist
(Max Gail) who puts his
charges through a rather
frantic program of self
discovery designed to stop
the hurt and open up the
possibilities for a new love.
