Ever since WTVI be gan airing an exercise pro gram called "Home stretch,” I have managed to struggle my way out of bed and pull through the 15-minute routine. What will I do now? I could substitute that time by playing some exercise al . «... bums I have until the pro gram returns, that way 111 still be fit when “Hoqoe- ’< stretch” returns. ALBUM REVIEWS Temptations "Truly For Yea” Have you ever been sit ting on top of a treasure Bryon Allen Becomes Favorite Pop Opening Act Detroit-born Byron Allen has become .one of pop music's favorite opening acts, touring with Lionel ' Richie, the Pointer Sisters and H#ny Rogers, or as be . puts if, “Jetting them dose my show.” Now the soon-to-be 24-year-old comic tup moved into offices at1 Universal Stocks, where he is writing his first film to star itf. In expressing his excitement about thiSi ======= state* Heal Peopl Ued, Amor illed and ; ome _I drive past “Jaws” to get there” Allen’s pact with MCA Universal comes in his carter after 10 years of stand-up comedy, a successful five year run of ‘‘Real People” and a number of U.S. tours opening for many top names in the music industry. and didn’t know it was right under your nose? Well, that’s how I feel about “Truly For You,” the latest LP from the Temp tations. I’ve had this album in my possession for weeks, but had failed to listen to it. Once I did, I found that the songs it contains is a vir tual gold mine. If it’s a dance beat, or a crooning tenor, or music purely positive, you can find it on this LP. I li terally fell in love with the tune “How Can You Say That It’s Over." If yoU get to listen to it, you’ll know what I mean. Side One: “Running,” “Treat Her Like A Lady,” “How Can You Say That It’s Over,” and “My Love Is True (Truly For You),” Side Two: “Memories,” “Just To Keep You In My Life,” “Set Your Love Right,” and “111 Keep A Light In My Window.” The Whispers “So Good” Are you in the mood for dancing or romancing? It doesn’t matter, because the Whispers have t^ken into consideration both styles of R&B and put them together on their latest album, “So Good.” And you won’t be disappointed either because the har mony and vocal quality that is a trademark of the Whispers is evident on each lyric of every song. •' -jfc For the side of DANCIN’ III there’s; “Some Kinda Lover,” “Contagious," “Sweet Sensation,” and “On Impact.” And for a little ROMAN CIN’ m there’s; “Sud denly,” (Personally, I felt this was a superb cut only sweetened by the added attraction of guest vocalist, PhyDis Hyman.) “Don’t :1 Keep Me Waiting,” “Are You Going My Way,” “Never Too Late,” and “So Good.” lhe OONo.Ur.R»,n , B1T.UB 1KZ The Children's Samples Are ^ HereH W20 E.
