'"Before he passed he had a number of projects at home and he fulfilled each one,” wpjrim Mrs. Thomas. “He wanted to make cure that wa would be comfortable after he was gone. “He was a good husband, a good father, a good son, a good brother and a good friend.” Thomas completed his own fu neral arrangements and tWd his wife to make lure that the service will be a "Joyous” one. Funeral services for Herman Thomas will be held at Woodland United Presbyterian Church on Sunday, September 15, at i:90 p m Grier Funeral Home will be in charge of the service. A graduate of Plato Pries High School, Thomas was a ‘tskrthall player for the school s team. He served In the U.8. Army during the Korean War and was honorably dis charged In 1953 He attended > Central Piedmont Community College, where he completed course requirements in drifting Employed with the Duff-Norton Company as a machinist and su pervisor for ao yean, Thomas retired in December, 19M. He la survived by Wa wife and daughter; two sisters, Mn. Mary Hr Clawson and Mrs. Margaret Mc Cullough; mother. Mn. Myrtle I nompson, step moiner-irt-uiw, MJTt. Naomi Love; two hrodwn-in-lew, Harold Clawson and Roger McCul lough Sr.; four nephews, three neicea, one great nephew, other relatives and a host of dear friends Sfck & Tired?
