Charlotte Native Dies in New York Charlotte native Mrs. Geraldine Thomas died Friday in Roosevelt, N Y Btrs. Thomas was a resident of Roosevelt. A noted gospel singer. Bin. Roosevelt recorded two albums, the last of which included a number she wrote. Singing since, the age of four, Bin. Thomas was lead singer in several gospel groups, directed a 52-voice choir for several yeen, was on the board of dirScton of. the National Conventions of Gospel Choruses, and was named “Miss Soft Voice of Gospel." She was an accomplished musi cian and played both piano and organ. Mrs. Thomas had a radio gospel ' program, appeared in the Apollo Theatre, and was a guest an the "Mike Douglas Show," As a child in Charlotte, Bln.
