A. Dane Davis, president, told
shareholders that sales for the 12
weeks ended September lg, 1006,
amounted to $1,087,000,000 com
pared With $1,732,010,000 for 1904, in
increase of $126,496,000. Net earn
ing* were $10,643,800 or $0.0$ per
share for the first quarter of fiscal
1$90 against $19,499,000 or $0.49 per
share for 1909.

Winn-Dixie opened If new store
locations with an average square
footage of 37,300 and closed 10 older
store locations with an average
square footage of 18,700, having 1,262
locations in operations on Septem
ber 10, compared with 1,330 last
year. Seventy-five new Stores are
presently under construction.
All present directors of the
company were re-elected by the
shareholders..
The directors declared monthly
dividends of 14k cento per share on
common stock, payable October 31,
November 29. and December 27 to
shareholders of record on October
15, November 15, and .- Decem
ber 13. Dividends were increased for
the 4Cnd consecutive year in July,
when monthly payments increased
from 14 cents to 14k cents per share
or 3.0 percent.
