Mecklenburg sophomore Harry Davis, the nephew of the
£J>oe™x Su*^* *t**f Walter Davis, ami Olympic’s Patrick
Floyd.
Davis scored 25 points in South’s 74-84 win over Olympic
and 34 in South's 98-78 win over West Mecklenburg.
He is a Magter Scorer and is one of the big reasons the '
Sabres have vacated the cellar of the conference for the
penthouse where I am sure coach Herb Davis would rather
be living during the Southwestern 4A season.
Ffoyd, a junior, scored 21 points in Olympic’s 67-48 toes
to Myers Park, 19 in a 79-75 toss to Garinger, and 25 in a
5842 toes to Myers Park. He is extremely talented and a lot
of colleges are already looking at him.

Also Ronald Hargett of Olympic is a senior who scored n
in a 78-70 loss to South and 23 in a 59-52 kns to Garinger.
North Mecklenburg’s Kenneth Wylie scored his career
high of 20 when the Vikings beat East Rutherford, 87-48.
West Mecklenburg’s John White scored 33 in the Indian’
win over Hickory and 24 in a 98-7» toss to South.
