Montrlcla Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ferguson of Charlotte. Johnny Is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. WUlle Ha)wood Bost of HuntersvUle. The 2 p.m. ceremony was offi ciated by Rev. James McQulston of Smallwood Presbyterian Church. The bride,was given In marri age by her nephew, Charles A. Ferguson, In honor of her par ents. She wore a long white satin gown decorated with seeded pearls and sequins. The sleeves were short and layered. The train had layers of ruffles. The veil was a floral beaded tlerra with flowing scalloped tulle. The maid of honor was Patri cia Caldwell. She wore a violet colored dress with a heart- shaped neckline, puffed sleeves and a tiered bottom. The bridesmaids were Rhonda Yvette Ferguson, sister of the bride; Carol Jones, Delrdre keeper and Wencfy Aaron, The flower girl was Cheraton Love, The bride's mother wore a pink organdy dress embroidered with pink seed pearls. The groom's ^andmother wore a pink chif fon gown. ‘The best man was James Grlf- f(n. JThe ushers were; Carl Jones, Mark Richardson, Sherman Wil liams and Terry Funderburk. , ■Fhe rlng bearer was Alexis Wal lace. j Music was provided by organ ist and soloist Delorls Dial, vio linist Cortney Dial and trum- peteer Ken Palmer. I The reception was held at the home of the bride. They honeymooned In Maggie Valley, N,C, Out of town guest Included; Frank Richardson, Marlene Richardson, Mark Richardson, Kim Richardson, Eric Green, Charles A. Ferguson, Betty Wat son, Michael Watson, Wendy Aa ron, James Griffin, Sherman Mr. and Blia. Johnny Jackson Williams, Lucille McKeythan, Marcelette Wright and Ida Nel son. Jones, Sr., pas tor; of Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, will be the guest speaker. Dr. Fred Gibson has been the pastor since 1981 but the church was established over 50 years ago. The church, which was named Providence Baptist at that time, started in April of 1935 by some members of Second Calvary Baptist Church and the late Rev. S. M. Chappell. The initled meeting place was In the home of the late Hattie Davis Ford. The first official location, which was on North Johnson Street In the Greenville commu nity, was completed In 1949. Chappell served as the pastor until his retirement In 1962. Rev. Robert H. Lewis of Salisbu ry became the next pastor. As a result of urban renewal, Providence was forced to relo cate In 1973. At this time the members, under the leadership of Deacon Julius Richards, founded a new location in the Dllworth area. Rev. J. W. Wal lace served as pastor from 1973 until 1981. Gibson, the current pastor, presented the church with the vision of expansion to the the current location, 200 Milton Road. The congregation moved into the new edifice In March of this year. Nation Ford Road Baptist Offers Summer Camp Nations Ford Baptist Church will provide a Fun Summer Catnp, June 19 through August 11. The camp will operated Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 5:30 p.m. 'Hhe activities Include: hiking, games, tours, picnics, nature studies, arts and crafts .
