Carmel Baptist Church, Hor net's Nest Girl Scout Office, McCrorey YMCA, University Me morial Hospital, WSOC-TV Channel 9 Studio, American Red Cross on Park Road, and at Stough Memorial Baptist Church in Pinevllle. Volunteer instructors will teach the course, which Includes sections on babysitting func tions, first aid, child care and supervision and games. Future babysitters will learn to prevent home accidents and handle emergencies, to recog nize and deal with situations that are hazardous both to themselves and to the children they care for. In addition, the babysitting course shows par ticipants how to Identify the characteristics of children at different ages, select safe toys and games, supervise children, diaper and dress babies, and feed Infants and children. When the participants suc cessfully complete the course, they will receive a babysitting certificate.
