of its new church at 827 Tom
Hunter Road off the 1-85 ac
cess road and off Tryon
Street near Auto Bell car
wash.
The celebration begins
this week through May 28
with revival each night at 7,
with Moses Edwards, pastor
of Asheville and Shelby SDA
churches as the speaker. The
culmination will be May 29
at 8:15 a.m. and will include
a parade, ribbon cutting and
gospel concert. The public is
invited.

service, featuring an infor

speakers, will precede Pla
za's regular Sunday events,
beginning with coffee hour at
9:30 a.m., Sunday School
opening at 9:45, Sunday
School at 10 and worship at

educational activities will be
held dally. Breakfast, lunch

•St. John Baptist Church
The Combined Choir of
New St. John Baptist Church
will sponsor its Fifth annual
workshop on June 3-6 with
guest clinicians Sam Obie,
minister of music at Chap
pell Memorial Baptist
Church and Patrick Love, as
sociate minister of music at
Salem Baptist Church. The
schedule for the workshops
is as follows: June 3, 4, 6:30-
10 p.m. : June 5, 9 a.m.-
noon.
Registration fee is $10 for
adults and $5 for youth.
There will be a fellowship
service featuring the youth
mass choir, the vocal choirs
and several visiting choirs
on June 5 at 7 p.m. On June 6
the workshop mass choir
will be in concert along with
other guest choirs. For infor
