Shore Improves Acting
Continued From Page IB
supporting role on "Lou
Grant" added his own charis
matic spice to the screen.
Even Shore's character, the
love-spreading 6 year college
student. Crawl, was endear
ing. Shore’s performance
seemed tremendously more
focused than anything that
he has done to date.
Shore's actions were more
directed and less random, so
the audience could actually
Identify with him as a per
son and not as some generic
cartoon character.
This movie Is a personal
triumph for Pauly Shore. It
Is obvious that he grew as an
actor with this film.
"Son In Law" will not
threaten to win any Oscars.
There are definite problems
with some of the transitions
and supporting characters.
But the movie Is funny. Ex
cellent for a 13 and up family
outing. You will laugh out
loud and hope that "Crawl "
never happens to you.
