12A RELIGION/ The Charlotte Post March 14, 1996 The Prophet’s Column This is a paid advertisement by J.M. Littie World events cannot be under stood apart from the knowl edge of the long ago conflict which INVISIBLY has been going on between God and Satan here on this earth since the creation of man, but which began back in eternity when Satan's supreme purpose to ascend into God's Tabernacle in Heaven, sit on His Throne, and receive the worship of all God's creatures, and God, Himself, was discovered. When Satan was cast to the ground, this earth became the scone of his future operations, when he persuaded other angelic hosts to help him in his attempt to dethrone the Creator. He is still trying to do that. My friend, when you, as Satan's child, want to be put (in a pedestal of pride and self-righteousness, and have everybody think well of you, admire your great vision, so- called, or your talents and beauty, you always find that somewhere down the line God casts you down and brings down the head of pride. Like Satan, you go around to every body you know and try to get a following to help you out in your rebellion and you always succeed, because only by God's grace of election can any cre ated being stand true to the worship of Jehovah. Satan led one-third of the whole heaven ly host with him for the pur pose, REVENGE. He sought to vindicate himself in the eyes of Heaven hy casting the Creator into shame and dis grace. You mark it down, my friend, when you refuse to repent, that is, take the blame and acknowledge that you are wrong, you will blame God and try to get vengeance on Him by turning everybody against Him. You are like you father the devil (John 8:44); you don't care if you take pre cious souls to Hell. He was a murderer from the beginning, because he hated everybody who is associated with the Lord Jesus Christ, and he is doing everything in the world to destroy "the works of God" (which are the believers), to discredit the "testimony of Christ" and all because the Lordship of Christ has crossed your covetous lustful and proud heart, which is the seat of your will and your affection. In closing, we would like you to listen to our late pastor, L.R. Shelton, with the Voice of Truth Broadcast every Sunday morning at 7:30 on WAGI-FM 105.3. He has been bringing some gracious and eye-opening messages on the Antichrist. PUT YOUR BUSESESS IN THE STREETS WITH Cfjarlotte $o^t!
