It left a lot to be desired.” Jones authored “Jane Edna Hunter: A Case Study of Black Leadership, " and several other works that highlight the works of African American women. “Writing, speaking, exploring these are my gift,” she said. “I give back by teaching another generation of young people." She credits her success to her parents who in spite of all the obstacles against them never taught that race was a hin drance. “My parents neglected an important part of my educa tion” she said. “They never taught me that I couldn’t do it because of my gender or race.
