M. Little THE PROPHET'S COLUMN NEWSLETTER- PART II MARCH 1997 The sinner, NOW YOU GET THIS; “who makes such a pro fession of faith based totally on his intellect and dies in that con dition, wakes up in HeU!” Such a sinner on a profession of faith has never been awakened to see his lost condition and the great “gulf’ that separates him from a thrice holy God. You can't afford to die in your deceived state, and if you do youll get the greatest shock of your life one minute after death! I went on to tell this young man yesterday he must be awakened to his lost condi tion. The religious world has almost completely gotten away from this truth today. Religious leaders are telling sinners to just believe and trust Jesus. The poor, deceived souls don't know that a sinner has a hard heart of unbelief When the blessed Holy Spirit awakens you, you'll see that all your great faith was just a delusion. And youR be brought to see your helpless condition and that only the Holy Spirit can bring you to Christ and reveal Him to your heart. Years ago a very reKgious yoimg man made fun of me for teaching the revelation of Christ for salva tion. And he went on to say; “there are some folks going around teaching that you can’t have anything to do with your salvation but I say you’ve got to have something to do with your salvation. “ Now, he didn’t make that statement directly to me but he made it where I could hear it. That young man had better not die in that condition, if he does he will 11- up his eyes in HeU. And let me say clearly; ‘T have no apology to make to any man or petticoat for teaching the truth, youU repent or go to HeU for your trouble” And you can tell them that Brother Little said so. Satan has been fighting here through his demons again of late and there is nothing I can do but look to the Lord. Every lost person is a lunatic. Every lost person is demon possessed. No medicine will drive the demons out. The individual is highly demon possessed. There are several demons in them, and they have been there greatly at work for over 32 years. Satan has them as his prisoner, and only the power of Christ can set her free! And then she’ll be clothed and in her right mind as the Legion there of Gadara. Do you know the power of Christ in driving Satan and the demons out and clothing you in your right mind? I do, I was the most demon possessed. Thank God r saving me! Thank God for driving Satan and the demons out. Praise the Lord! \ Your Gospel Teacher and Editor, J. M. Little DSS plans conference on reform Continued from 12A of funding cuts. “That’s what we get asked most often,” Williamson said. “ ‘Are you tr5dng to dump these responsibilities off on us.’ The answer is no.” According to Williamson, what DSS wants is for churches to help spread the word about wel fare reform and preach a mes sage of self reliance and inde pendence. “We want for them to begin spreading the message of what’s going on,” Williamson said. “We’re sharing information with the faith community — saying people could be in trouble in the next couple of years.” Williamson says the invitation from DSS is sign of respect for the power of the faith communi ty- “We recognize the church as being a stable institution,” Williamson said. ‘It’s been there for many years doing mission work. What we’re asking is can we look at what each other’s doing. How can can we do it together to make things easier? It’s really an appreciation. ‘Its also a statement that we realize as government agencies that we need their help. That if societies going to get better, that’s (the church) where the teaching will begin.” Williamson is hoping to build on the success of last week’s Unity Day of Prayer. The ser vice, which received the support of both the city and county, sought to bring unity to a com munity divided by race. Although turnout at Memorial Stadium was not what organiz ers expected, clergy turned out in large numbers. “The concept of unity day was to bring unity - to have a day of prayer,” Williamson said. “To have a day of prayer for the situ ations facing us now. We’re look ing to build on that.” Interested in attending"? “A Faith Community United’' will be held Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, 3301 Beatties Ford Road April 24-25. Registration is $10. Local clergy members are also invited to share their thoughts on social topics April 25-27 at ecumenical ‘'common theme” services.
