Wall as Vahant Woman of the Year during the group’s Leader Council at Camp Caraway in Asheboro. The award honors women who have helped build and shape the organi zation in the past and pre sent. Nominations are made by state and local units, and the bonoree must have par ticipated in activities such as workshops and unit meet ings. Women who receive the award must have served CWU for an extended peri od. CWU, foimded in 1941, is a racially, culturally and theo logically inclusive Christian women’s movement that cel ebrates diversity and works for world peace. Wall, a retiree of Charlotte- Mecklenburg schools, is out going president of CWU’s North Carolina Chapter. She is an active member of United Presbyterian Church. • Henry M. Wallace was one of four Duke Energy employees to earn the com- pan/s robinson Citizenship Award. The award recognizes efforts to help human ity or save a life. Wallace, a vegetation manage- ment com munication specialist at Duke Power in Charlotte, has been a surrogate father to Boy Scout Troop 172, where 24 of 400 scouts have earned the Eagle rank. He is also a recipient of scouting’s most prestigious awards, the Wallace Silver Beaver, for his work with young people. • RE/MAX Executive Realty welcomed Paige Shaver, Elaine Eschert, Jane McGinn, Sylvester MCGinn, Maria Lee, Grade Obuseh, and Ken Johnson as sales associates. • Sheha Moran has been named executive director of Mobile Health Outreach. Moran has worked at MHO for six years, most recently as operations manager.
