Sealed Bids addressed to the Guilford County Board of Education for the additions
to PECK ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NEW ADDITION AND RENOVATIONS,
1601 W. Florida Street, Greensboro, NC 27403, (336) 370-8235, will be received
at the District’s Purchasing Office at 900 English Road, High Point, NC 27262. Bids
will be received according to the following schedule;
Multi-Prime Bidders (GC, Plumbing, Mechanical and Electrical) until 2:00 PM, June

The project consists of a 1,910 sf infill addition on the existing Cafeteria wing for a
classroom expansion and for expanding the cafeteria. The infill structure is masonry
bearing walls, steel floor joists with concrete on metal deck, brick veneer with CMU
backup, metal roof joists and built-up roofing. The infill includes a new mechanical
unit and technology packages.
Also included is a free standing 12,000 sf classroom addition on the Van Wert Street
side of the property. The classroom building is connected with an enclo.sed 680 sf
connector building. The connector and classroom buildings are slab on grade, brick
veneer with CMU backup exterior walls, metal joists with metal sloped roofing and
single ply roofing with tapered insulation on the flat roofing. Includes technology
package.
A Pre-Bid Conference will be held on May 16, 2005, at 2:30 PM at the project site.
Questions from the Bidders or their Subcontractors will be clarified at this meeting.

(CATS) a department thereof, is now accepting bids for a Rail Maintenance
Hi-Rail “ Swing” Machine. Bids are due to CATS Procurement, Charlotte
