The Charlotte Post
Graduation from high school is one of the first major milestones of a teen
ager's life. Doing so with high grades and other achievements is truly a
significant step on the road to successful careers.
The Charlotte Post Top Senior directory is one of our most prized ser
vices. We are honored to showcase the dozens of Mecklenburg County
high school graduates whose hard work and community service mark
them as the next generation of leaders in numerous fields of endeavor.
The Post is proud to once again honor the best of those students with its
2006 Senior of the Year Award and College Scholarship. The runner-up
also receives a scholarship. The two top students were selected based on
a number of criteria, including GPAs, community and school activities,
and an essay.
This book showcases not only the Senior of the Year and the runner-up,
but also dozens of other students who have excelled at school, at home
and in their communities. For most, high school graduation is just the
beginning, rather than an end. It will open opportunities to display a
myriad of skills and talents. The Post celebrates these achievements with
those students, their teachers and their families.
These graduates have proven the worth of hard work, focus and dedica
tion. We congratulate all of the 2006 graduating seniors and wish them
the best as they embark on the next phase of their young lives.
The Top Senior directory is but one of The Charlotte Post's many services
to the Charlotte region. The Charlotte Post provides a wide range of news
and information services, from its annual Black Guide to local businesses
and professionals, to its web page and weekly news coverage.
We extend best wishes to this year's high school graduates and their
families. We wish them the best as they embark on life's adventures.
