Smith University have been selected to partici pate in the National Collegiate Athletic Association Leadership Institute for Ethnic Minority Females. Hendricks, JCSHs senior women’s administrator, is coordinator of the health and human performance depart ment. Kelly is the school’s sports infonnation director. The institute is designed to address the shortage of senior level women of color in ath letics administration at NCAA member institutions and conference ofBces. • KeLsie Gibson of Kannapolis Middle School has been recognized as U.S. National Honor Student Award winner by the U.S. Achievement Academy Kelsie, d seventh-grader, has also been selected an All- American Scholar Award wiimer through the All- American Scholar Educational Grants program.
