has revenge on their minds. This
will no doubt have its telling
effect when the Chowanians meet
the strong Fork Union team. The
boys have played one game now,
and with a good start will make
a good showing.
The probable starting line-up
will be as follows: Earl Rook,
right end; Herman Hooker, right
tackle; Hayward Edwards, right
guard; Louis Ivey, center; Joe
Butler, left guard; Lue Gray
White, left tackle; Cedric Pierce,
left end; Vance Stewart, quarter
back; Buddy Bass, left-halfback;
Guy Keeter, right-halfback; and
Billy Midgett, fullback.
Pep Rally
Judging by the first pep rally,
Chowan students have the spirit
and strong lungs to support any
football team—winning or losing.
A huge bon-fire was built on the
new athletic field before the fiifst
game. The cheerleaders had
charge of the rally.
Again a pep rally will be held
Thursday night on the new
athletic field prior to the Cho-
wan-Fork Union game Friday.
