It is a source of satisfaction to me that the paper continues to improve, and that pro gressively it is relatively free from typographical and other errors. I want to commend you upon the fine job your as sociates and you are doing with our college newspaper. I am sure that you are fully aware of the favorable publicity which Chowan College gets from the publication of THE CHOWANIAN. Almost everywhere I go there is someone who comments complimentary concerning the newspaper. It is a credit to the college and to those who are immediately responsible for its publication. Again, thank you for the good job you are doing with THE CHOWANIAN. DR. BRUCE E. WHITAKER Chowan College President Just saw the January issue of THE CHOWANIAN and was greatly pleased with the manner in which religious news was covered, and displayed. The layout of the Focus Week was most impressive, particularly in the light of the copy available. You and the staff of THE CHOWANIAN have been ex tremely helpful to this department in promoting the Gospel in written form. The attractive planning and print ing of Religious News has been of vital help in bringing about a better understanding of Christian Faith on this campus and throughout the state. Your efforts deserve commendation, and are greatly appreciated. DR. WILLIAM C. YOUNG Chowan College Chaplain ■■1 0 33®®3l?®(2a^?S® I- 30C0 o. c.A. suiLeiNO 30 ROCKEFELi£R PUiZA.
