May Day Schedule of Events MAY 1, 1965 1955-1956 Class Reunions 10:30-11:30 AM Alumni Luncheon 12:00-2:00 PM May Day Program 3:00-4:30 PM May Court-Banquet 5:00 May Day Committees, Chairmen, And Faculty Advisors BUSINESS LAW STUDENTS HEAR LAWYERS—Students of business law recently heard Mr. Guy Revelle, Jr. and Mr. Frank Burleson, local attorneys, discuss the court system of North Carolina. Mr. Revelle talked of the proposed changes in the state courts which will institute great er uniformity in the courts. Mr. Burleson spoke on the process of legal decisions. His discussion began with the start of a lawsuit, and described what might happen if certain conditions prevail ed. ' ' ' m I MISS AHOSKIE CONTESTANT—Myrtle Hofler of Hobbsville, and a student at Chowan College has been selected as a contestant for the annual “Miss Ahoskie for 1965” contest, sponsored by the Ahoskie Junior Chamber of Commerce. The new entrant will perform in dramatics for the talent portion of the contest. ALUMNUS ON THE MOVE—James (Jim) Hoyle Gravely is now head coach at Murfressboro High School and the records of his teams in competitive sports show that he is doing a good job. Jim graduated from Chowan College in the fall of 1954 where he played football as an outstanding end for two seasons. He was on a Junior Colege All-American team in 1955 and also All-State Junior College member for that year. The best thing that has happened to this alumnus was when he married Patsy Futrell in 1957. They now have a young son, Jeffery Hoyle. Graduating from East Carolina College in 1959, Jim received his Masters Degree in Education from the same college in 1962.
