The Chowan College Touring Choir
Choir begins annual spring tour
The Chowan College Choir
will be on tour March 23-26
with scheduled performances
including television and the
General Assembly of North
Carolina.
Professor James Chamblee is
the director and Professor Trel-
fes Case is accompanist. The
itinerary of the 28-member tour
ing choir begins on Sunday,
March 23 at Weldon Baptist
Church, 11:00 a.m. and contin
ues with performances of sac
red and popular selections at
6:30 p.m. lhat evening at First
Baptist Church, Ahoskie; Mon
day, March 24 at Oxford Baptist
Church, Oxford, 7:30 p.m.; and
at 9:00 p.m. that same evening,
Oxford Baptist Church Fellow
ship Concert. Three performanc
es are scheduled for Tuesday,
March 25; 10:00 a.m. at South
eastern Baptist Theological Sem
inary, Wake Forest; 12:00 noon.
General Assembly of the State
of North Carolina; 2:15 p.m.,
Millbrook High School, Mill-
brook; and 7:30 p.m., WRAL-TV,
Raleigh. The last day of the
tour concludes with two per
formances in South Boston, Va.;
1:45 p.m., Halifax County High
School and 7:30 p.m.. First
Baptist Church.

wan co-eds were initiated into member
ship in Alpha Pi Epsilon, National
Secretarial Society at Chowan College,
in a Candlelight Ceremony in Marks
Hall Auditorium.

the organization and Susan Clark of
Churchville, Pa., serves as president.
In order to qualify for membership
in Alpha Pi Epsilon, students must
maintain a 2.0 quality point rating on
all academic work and must possess
the qualities of accuracy, dependability
and show initiative. The society seeks
young people of character, intelligence,
leadership, scholarship and superior
competence in secretarial subjects.
