Chowan coed Christinia “Ki-Ki Poll, whose home is
the Truk Islands, will join President Ford's daughter,
Susan, and Bob Hope at the Shenandoah Apple
Blossom Festival May 2-4 in Winchester, Va. Miss Poll
will serve as princess, along with representatives
from many other colleges. Miss Ford has been named
Queen of the annual celebration. As Chowan's
representative, the 19-year-old student will have the
opportunity to see apple orchards for the first time,
since pineapples and coconuts are the important crops
on her island of Moen.
