One of the first things a new student does when enrolling at
Chowan is to obtain his Student Identification Card, and a
majority of new students complete this process on the very
first day at the college. The young man pictured seems to
have difficulty smiling for the photographer, since his first
day was a busy one in making all necessary arrangements
for college entrance.
