On behalf of the Directors of the Ruth Camp Comp- bell Charitable Trust, she announced that the trust was the source of the $200,000 challenge gift to the college's building drive. Fisher, member of the Board of Advisors and executive director-treasurer of the Education Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention. Camp Campbell Charitable Trust Fund. The late Ruth Camp Campbell of Franklin, Va., was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Paul Douglas Camp. She was praised by Mrs. Marks for supporting many schools and universities and also for direct ly “encouraging and assisting young people to attend Chowan.” Mrs. Marks said her sister, Ruth Camp Campbell, devoted a lifetime of service to her church, communi ty and region. She supported many worthy causes including Franklin Baptist Church, the Baptist Children’s Home and Baptist Hospital of Virginia. Dr. Whitaker expressed his gratitude in accepting the gift for the college. “We give thanks for Ruth Camp Campbell and her family’s lifelong interest and devo tion to helping young people through Christian higher education and the provisions which she and they have made for the continuing support of such causes into the future.” He asked Mrs. Marks to “please express our deep gratitude to the Directors of the Ruth Camp Camp bell Charitable Trust. J. J. Harrington, co-chairman of the National Leader ship Gifts Committee. Comprising the third flight were Roger Randall, a varsity athlete; Roy Winslow, Coordinator of Women's Athletics; Janet Collins, volleyball coach; Jerry Smith, head basketball coach; Steve Nelson, director of in tramurals; Linwood Ferguson, track and football coach; and Jerry Hawkins, football and baseball coach.
