Host and Hostess for Chowan
The teamwork of Chowan's president and his wife, Dr. and Mrs. Bruce E.
Whitaker, which is evident in these two photos, is a source of strength to
the college. Dr. Whitaker entertains members of the Board of Trustees and
Board of Advisors at his home in the fall. At the same time, Mrs. Esther
Whitaker, with the assistance of Mr. ond Mrs. Horace Futrell, prepares a
dinner to be served to the trustees and advisors and their spouses. The
trustees and advisors were involved in a busy two-day schedule which in
cluded committee meetings, tour of the new gym, and their regularly
scheduled meeting.
