vocation. The group per
forms at many college ac
tivities, including annual
Commencement Exercises.

Miss Agnes Simons, sister of the late Roy Simons, unveiled the
plaque in Simons Hall. The building is named in memory of
Simons mother, Mrs. Bettie Valentine Simons, and in honor of
his cousin, Melton Ernest Valentine. Also participating in the
ceremony were two others sisters, Mrs. T. R. Tunstall ond Mrs. R.
Stewart Roberson, as well as members of their families. Valen
tine family members were also present for the occasion, and
took port in the ceremonies.
Mrs. Ruby Udvornoki, on alumnus of Chowan, unveils a bronze
plaque in Turner Auditorium recognizing those persons whose
contributions made the auditorium renovation possible.
